Vibra-Stop™ is a powerful vibration-damping coating engineered to prevent loosening and leaking of screws, nuts, bolts, and assembly components of all types. Non-anaerobic and non-reactive, it delivers reliable locking performance across a wide range of substrates and applications without degrading plastics or seizing parts in place. Designed for serviceability, coated components can be adjusted, removed, and reinstalled without reapplication.
Vibra-Stop® is a CFC-free methacrylic copolymer anti-vibration coating designed for pre-application to fasteners and assembly components. Its non-ozone depleting formulation keeps fasteners secure even under extreme vibration, without relying on a chemical reaction, degrading plastics, or seizing parts in place. Its resilient formulation also allows components to be removed, readjusted, and reinstalled throughout the assembly's service life.

Performance, Advantages and Benefits
Non-Anaerobic Chemistry: Vibra-Stop does not rely on a chemical reaction to function. It will not degrade plastics, seize parts, or fail on passive or nonferrous substrates where anaerobic adhesives typically underperform.
Exceptional Shelf Life: Coated parts can be stored indefinitely without loss of performance, enabling pre-application well in advance of assembly and supporting lean manufacturing workflows.
Broad Surface Compatibility: Adheres to ferrous and nonferrous metals, most plastics, and plated surfaces, making it suitable for virtually any fastener type or assembly component.
Multiple Reuse: Coated components can be adjusted, removed, and reinstalled multiple times without reapplication, reducing consumable cost and supporting field serviceability. Heat-activated Grade 9 can be adjusted freely until heat is applied.
Minimizes Galling and Thread Damage: The resilient insulation coating reduces metal-to-metal contact during installation, helping to protect thread integrity and reduce galling or stripping.
Cost-Effective: Priced significantly below anaerobic adhesives and competing vibration-damping compounds, Vibra-Stop delivers reliable performance at a lower total cost per assembly.
How do I apply Vibra-Stop®?
Apply Vibra-Stop liberally to the threaded area to be engaged in assembly and allow to dry. The fastener can then be installed or stored indefinitely for later use. Vibra-Stop is suitable for male and female threads, and for non-threaded applications. When applied, the coating dries within seconds, leaving coated parts ready for assembly within minutes.
How is Vibra-Stop different from anaerobic threadlockers?
Unlike anaerobic thread lockers, Vibra-Stop is non-anaerobic and non-reactive. It cures without requiring oxygen exclusion, won't degrade plastics, needs no special storage, and doesn't seize parts together. As a result, it works across a wider range of materials including nonferrous metals, plastics, and wood.
Can coated fasteners be reused?
Yes. Parts coated with Vibra-Stop can be adjusted, removed, and reinstalled multiple times without requiring reapplication. The Grade 9 heat-activated formulation can be freely adjusted until heat is applied.
Does Vibra-Stop require surface preparation before application?
Vibra-Stop does not require surface preparation or part degreasing prior to application and can be applied directly to the fastener or component surface. However, as with any coating or adhesive, best practice is to apply it to a clean and dry surface.
How quickly does Vibra-Stop dry after application?
The coating dries within seconds of application. Parts are typically ready for assembly within a few minutes.
What is the shelf life of parts coated with Vibra-Stop?
Coated parts can be stored indefinitely before use with no reduction in performance.
Is Vibra-Stop suitable for non-threaded components?
Yes. In addition to threaded fasteners,Vibra-Stop can be applied to rivets, pins, shafts, collars, springs, knobs, terminals, and other assembly components where vibration damping or retentionis required.
