Tec-Lok™ 130 Series is a high-performance proprietary polymer locking patch engineered for extreme temperature environments, from cryogenic lows to sustained heat up to 371°C (700°F). Designed as an extreme-temperature alternative to standard nylon patch, the 130 Series keeps fasteners locked, sealed, and serviceable in the most demanding thermal and chemical conditions.

Tec-Lok™ 130 Series is a resilient locking patch applied to the threaded portion of fasteners to prevent unintended loosening and promote sealing across an exceptional operational temperature range of -150°C to 371°C(-238°F to 700°F). Built on a proprietary polymer formula, it replaces standard nylon patch in applications where thermal extremes would cause conventional materials to fail.

This non-reactive thread locker is intended for parts that must remain serviceable and removable while withstanding most fluids, solvents, and harsh environments. Unlike competing high-temperature patch products,Tec-Lok™ 130 Series requires part heating to only 250°C (418°F) for application, which protects plating, surface finishes, and heat treatment from damage.

What makes Tec-Lok™ 130 Series different from the 100 Series?

The 130 Series uses a proprietary polymer formula in place of standard nylon. This allows it to perform at operational temperatures from-150°C to 371°C (-238°F to 700°F), well beyond the -56°C to 121°C (-70°F to250°F) range of the Tec-Lok 100 Series. It is the appropriate choice when fastener assemblies are exposed to extreme heat, cold, or both.

 

What is the application temperature for Tec-Lok™ 130 Series?

Parts must be heated to 250°C (418°F) for the patch to be applied. This is lower than many competing high-temperature patch products, which reduces the risk of damage to plating, surface finishes, and heat treatments during the coating process.

 

How many reuse cycles does Tec-Lok™ 130 Series support?

More than 5 on-off cycles are supported. For applications requiring higher reusability, Tec-Lok™ 100 Series supports up to 15 cycles under standard temperature conditions.

 

Does Tec-Lok™ 130 Series perform in cryogenic environments?

Yes. The 130 Series is rated for operational temperatures as low as -150°C (-238°F), making it suitable for semi-cryogenic applications where standard nylon patch would lose flexibility or fail.

 

What color options are available for the 130 Series?
